Terms of Service

Last updated: July 17, 2026
Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using Tally ("the Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. What Tally is

Tally is a personal expense-tracking tool. It helps you log, categorize, and review your own income and spending, including AI-assisted features that read receipts and bank/card statements you choose to upload.

Tally is not a bank, a financial institution, a licensed financial adviser, or a payment service. It does not move money, does not connect to your bank account, and does not provide financial, investment, tax, or legal advice. Nothing in the Service should be treated as professional financial advice — for that, please consult a licensed financial adviser.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, to create an account. If you are a minor, you may only use the Service with the consent and supervision of a parent or guardian.

3. Your account

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

5. AI-powered features

Some features (receipt scanning, statement import, auto-categorization) use an AI model to read and interpret images and documents you upload. These features can make mistakes. Extracted amounts, dates, merchants, and categories may occasionally be inaccurate, particularly from unclear photos or unusual statement formats. You are responsible for reviewing and correcting any AI-extracted data before relying on it — the app is designed to let you review everything before it saves, and you should use that review step.

6. Your data

You retain ownership of all data you enter into Tally. Our Privacy Policy explains what we collect and how it's protected. You may request deletion of your account and data at any time.

7. No warranty

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at all times. As a small, independently operated project, occasional downtime or bugs may occur.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Service — including but not limited to financial decisions made based on data shown in the app, or loss of data due to technical failure.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under Singapore law.

9. Changes to the Service

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time, including free features, without prior notice.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

11. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Singapore. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service will be subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the Singapore courts.

13. Contact

Questions about these Terms can be sent to hello@letstally.app.
